Website honored for creating easy-to-use business software
An online marketing company was recently awarded for its efforts to help small businesses get noticed online.
SMBmarketer.com was given the Small Business Standard of Excellence Award by the Web Marketing Association as part of the organization's 2010 WebAwards. The ceremony seeks to recognize the best marketing companies in the country in a variety of different categories.
The website was recognized for its creation of the Press Release Tutor, which gives small businesses a way to create professional-looking press releases without spending too much money.
"This award validates how small businesses can benefit from easy-to-use, low-cost tools to jumpstart their marketing efforts," said Sue Watkins, founder of SMBmarketer.com. "Industry expert judges scrutinized more than 2,000 website entrants based on seven criteria, including design, content and ease of use, and specifically commented that we had a great site that was fast, informative and interactive."
SMBmarketer.com made technology news for small business recently when the company partnered with Verite, a digital communications agency, to develop programs for entrepreneurs. The partnership has already meant the creation of programs like the aforementioned Press Release Tutor.
