Winners of the state awards come from a diverse range of small businesses, including a military glove manufacturer, an eco-friendly restaurant, and a professional caterer.

Five major award events will honor businesses which have helped the nation's economy. Award winners will be recognized in a number of categories, including government contracting and disaster recovery. SBA partners will also be recognized for financial assistance and entrepreneurial development.

Small Business Week will take place from May 23-25 at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Washington, D.C.

This month, the SBA is offering a free webinar series on financial literacy. The series, which runs each Wednesday from April 7 through 21, will discuss money skills and financial wellness, with expert speakers covering a number of topics.
