Interview with GoodElements.com Founder Tim Quinn

Tim Quinn founded GoodElements.com in 2004 in Florida. Today it is a growing vegan health supplement company.

GoodElements.com, founded in 2004 by Tim Quinn, is a leading maker of vegan health supplements.

Tell me about your current business. What are you doing exactly?

GoodElements, Inc. manufactures and markets the absolute highest quality all-natural, doctor-formulated vegan health supplements available in the marketplace today.

What is your business background?

In addition to my role as co-founder and CEO of GoodElements.com, I am the Vice President of Corporate Development at American Express. I oversee and manage the company's investing and acquisition activities. I have been with American Express for more than 5 years, and have prior experience working in New York City's private equity and investment banking sector. I have a Bachelor of Science in Commerce with a Finance Concentration from the University of Virginia.

Who are your main competitors? How do you compete against them?

My main competitors would be wise woman herbals, drsinatra.com, and mercola.com.

GoodElements.com's offerings are easier to understand. We target health oriented, educated consumers who desire to take vitamins or supplements but do not have the time or inclination to walk through the confusing aisles of natural food stores. We present our product in a straight-forward, concise manner.

Our formulations are doctor created, and best-of-breed. We use raw materials of the highest quality and independently laboratory tested. Finally, our supplements are physician-formulated nutrient blends.

What have you done that has been very effective in helping to grow the business?

Since GoodElements.com produces something people will ingest to make them healthier, trust and integrity are critical. So is safety. Accordingly, we rigorously source only the highest quality ingredients that provide the utmost effectiveness. And our use of independent third-party laboratory testing, when we're not mandated to do so, reflects our commitment to quality standards and consumer safety. Our business is built on repeat customers who use our products systematically month in and month out, so attention to these details is mission critical. In addition, having a naturopathic physician actually formulating our products, and directly interacting with consumers through our Web presence, is a key unique discriminator.

Wow, Tim. It sounds like you really have your hands full. What do you like to do when you're not working?

I enjoy traveling, playing golf, and doting on my growing family.

Sounds great, Tim. Thank you for your time!
