Missouri is one of 45 states that have enacted minimum wage laws. The current minimum wage in Missouri is 25 cents more than the current Federal minimum wage rate of $7.25.
Retail and service businesses with annual sales of less than $500,000 are exempt, as are certain other employee classes.
The Missouri minimum wage has been rising slowly but surely in recent years. It was $7.25 in 2012 and $7.35 in 2013.
On January 1, 2015, the Missouri minimum wage will be adjusted for inflation, which could result in an increase or a decrease.
