Regions Bank recently launched RegionsBankBusiness.com to provide guidance for small business owners on topics such as financial, risk and human resource management. The new online resource center provides owners with in-depth advice and information to help SMBs create long-term stability through strong financial practices.
The website specifically addresses mistakes and best practices in business credit, balance sheets, income statements, cash flow and taxes. Regions Bank has also developed expert guidance on how small business owners can protect the physical, financial, human and intellectual assets of the compay through risk management tools. The guidance discusses disaster planning, information security, fraud prevention, insurance options and risk prevention strategies.
In addition, the website has a section - devoted to helping human resource practices - which includes with a series of articles that discuss hiring tips and policies, creating a code of ethics and how to develop benefits packages.
Also helping small businesses design their benefits plan, Vanguard recently introduced its 401(k) plan service for small businesses. The service can offer low-cost index funds and target-date funds to employers who provide 401(k) plans for their employees as well as financial advisers who sell fee-based 401(k) plans. The services aims to equip small businesses with an affordable program and access to funds and features that will attract and retain talented employees, while offering tools to both employer and employee to help plan for retirement.
