BOSS Business president says small business bill will harm entrepreneurs

One of the leading tax advice companies has warned that recently passed legislation aimed at helping small businesses may actually have the opposite effect.

The president of BOSS Business services, Toby Mathis, recently expressed concern regarding language in the Small Business Bill, which was recently signed into law by President Barack Obama. He said that many small businesses would be forced to spend more time and energy complying with provisions and have less time to focus on increasing profits.

"I do not know how average Americans are supposed to know what to expect with regards to taxation when the tax laws seem to change on an almost daily basis," said Mathis in a statement regarding the news for entrepreneurs. "If you are a small business and do not have a full-time accountant, you will need to contact an accountant to see if the changes are going to impact your business."

Mathis made headlines recently when he published "12 Steps to Running a Successful Business," a guide for entrepreneurs. A preview of the book was made available for free on the Boss Business website.
