Social Media More Important Than Ever For Small Businesses

Websites like Facebook and Twitter are vital parts of increasing exposure
Using social media to improve a small business' exposure online is one of the fastest-growing trends today. In the latest news for entrepreneurs, business experts have developed a new Social Media Marketing Program in order to allow small business owners to gain more customers.
The program will allow people to find out the best ways to use these programs and find emerging avenues to promote their products. Those in the marketing field predict that social media will continue to rise in the years to come and that business owners who ignore the area may be losing out to others.
"I constantly get questions from business owners about how they can use social media to get more prospects and sales for their business," said Vicki Zerbee, a social media consultant. "For most it is overwhelming because marketing on the internet is very different from traditional marketing."
According to one recent poll, more small business owners are using sites like Facebook and Twitter than ever before. A survey by Discover revealed that 59 percent of small business owners were part of an online community in the latest news for small business.
