Overview
We started Amara because we want older people to take part in family life as a matter of course, and to follow their curiosity. To call on their own, put on a favourite station, ask a question, without having to ask anyone to explain the technology. What began as a personal experience in our own family became our shared work. In Berlin we build Amara together with older people, from day one. We listen, we try things out and we learn. For more independence in everyday life and more closeness in the hours between visits.
