In 2016, after decades of research, Dr. Stephanie Simmons and Dr. Michael Thewalt founded Photonic with one goal in mind: to deliver on the promise of quantum computing by making a fault-tolerant quantum computer a reality. Today Photonic employs over 120 people spanning Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Europe. Together, we are designing and manufacturing large-scale, distributed, fault-tolerant quantum computers that will transform material discovery, computational chemistry, drug development, and secure communications.
