Tell me about your current business. What are you doing exactly?

At e-Conversation Solutions , we leverage the power of the internet to your company's advantage, creating a dynamic conversation around your brand.In addition to providing a fully integrated marketing package to help your company get to the next level, we specialize in social media video.

When did you start the business and where are you located?

We started operations in 2009 in Northbrook, IL.

How did you come up with your business idea?

I built a YouTube channel for SCORE Chicago into one of the largest small business channels in the world. I was impressed by the power of an integrated social media strategy and decided to commercialize the solution.

Did you write a business plan? Was it an effective tool for you?

Yes, it is effective, but always changing based upon customer input.

With the current economy in a slump, what cost saving tips would you have for a new entrepreneur?

Spend your money carefully, only on the essentials.

What advice would you give to somebody else who wanted to start a similar business?

Understand the specific niche you are serving.

What have you done that has been very effective in helping to grow the business?

Creating a vision and actual examples that can excite collaborators. More than anything, it's the role of the entrepreneur to create energy and excitement.

How has your experience in running the business been different from what you expected?

You need to prove your proposition to everyone, every day. Take nothing for granted.
