Made In Japan Teriyaki Experience

Want to start a fast food restaurant? Here's a sizzling hot franchise opportunity that serves up what consumers are looking for.

Franchise Profile — Made In Japan Teriyaki Experience

Made in Japan Teriyaki Experience is a Japanese fast food operating in food courts and busy plazas. It's a concept that hits the mark with the growing popularity of healthy eating in the fast food arena.

Back when most food court locations were serving up the usual burgers, fries and pizza, Lou Donato had something more exotic in mind. Having established an Italian food franchise in 1981, he knew that food court patrons were ready for something radically new.

In April 1986 the first Made in Japan Teriyaki Experience opened with a sizzling show at the grill. Each meal was prepared fast and fresh for each customer. Customer response was immediate. Clearly, customers were ready for a delicious and nutritious new taste experience.

Almost 20 years later, they've serve nearly 4 million meals annually at over 100 locations worldwide in shopping mall food courts, street fronts, universities, hospitals, and theme parks. And Asian-inspired food... well, it's the hottest new menu trend!
