Many entrepreneurs looking to get into the world of small business choose to start with a franchise and with a new microsite 7-Eleven is hoping to give more information about its stores.
The new site, which launched today, gives potential franchisees information on the company including a timeline of the application process, a map of available stores in the area and testimonial from existing store owners.
The company says that franchisees operate 4,371 of its 5,639 stores and Joanne Webb-Joyce, senior director for national franchising at 7-Eleven says the purpose of the site is introduce the company to those looking to get involved with the convenience store chain.
"Our goal was to ensure everyone knows that 7-Eleven is pro-actively franchising stores," she said. "The website doesn't replace the personal advice and support we give each franchisee as they're going through the process and after they join our franchise family, but it offers a convenient way for them to get to know us."
Entrepreneur magazine ranked 7-Eleven at number 30 in its list of the top franchises of 2009.
