Small businesses should keep it simple when marketing to customers. Chase and Google have teamed up to offer free seminars to guide SMBs on the path to a successful marketing campaign.

Ink from Chase and Google are joining forces to host a series of seminars for small business owners. The goal of the free seminars- which will feature expert advice, marketing tips and best practices - is to help small business owners grow their online presence.

Chase Ink for Small Businesses

Beverly Kennedy, general manager of Ink, said working with Google has enabled the financial institution to better connect small business owners with online customers and communities.

"In addition, providing free seminars and webinars furthers Chase's committment to helping small business owners grow and manage their businesses," Kennedy said.

Ink has also recently launched a mobile app and online solutions designed to help small businesses track, categorize and organize business expenses from their mobile devices or online.

Small Business Trends reported that business owners can incorporate some marketing strategies into their existing campaigns, such as focusing on simplicity, to help steal customers from bigger brands. The source reported that for all aspects of marketing, but particularly with website layouts, simplicity is key. The easier it is to navigate a company's website, the more information a consumer will get on his or her visit. Small businesses should focus on their core user and make sure the customer can find what he or she is looking for when visiting the site or perusing the marketing material.
