Entrepreneurs Recognized With Web Marketing Award

The communications and web design firm PixelMEDIA has awarded young entrepreneurs with financial and professional assistance.
The founders of web design company PixelMEDIA have given back to a new generation of entrepreneurs by presenting their Web Marketing Services Award, according to a report from Seacoast Online.
The award was given to three entrepreneurs, including Christopher Suprock, winner of the 2009 Paul J. Holloway Prize in the Innovation-to-Market Competition from the University of New Hampshire.
In 2007, Suprock founded Suprock Technologies, which creates innovative technological tools for the manufacturing sector.
He's now received more than $15,000 in assistance for web design and communications from PixelMEDIA, helping his business grow and gain notoriety.
"Our experience was really informative and they really showed us the ropes to what it takes to reach a community of online users," Suprock told the website. "It was more than website design, it was an education."
There was encouraging news for entrepreneurs Jason Norton, Michelle Pirro and Cole Connolly as well. They received assistance from PixelMEDIA for their ComposiMold material for artists. Graduate student Alexander Shyrokov was the final award recipient, recognized for his Software Skydiving Simulator.
Competition is often an effective way to inspire entrepreneurs who may otherwise go unnoticed.
On April 1, the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia will open its Tayloe Murphy Resilience Award Competition, which brings attention to firms that succeed in the state's most economically challenged areas.
