Cisco has designed new components that seek to make business operations run more smoothly for entrepreneurs relying heavily on technology. Among the new items is a new IP Phone to help members of the company better communicate, a new class of small business switches and video monitoring software in order to maintain a secure work place.

The company introduced a brand new support system to help small businesses learn more about technology. It also announced the simplification of its Partner Development Funds profitability program.

Ian Pennell, co-chair of Cisco's Small Business Council, said that he thought the introduction of the new products would be good news for small business owners.

"Small businesses are working harder than ever to drive efficiency, productivity and profitability. By delivering innovative, new technology and services, Cisco is stepping up to help our small business customers meet their business objectives," Pennell said.

Cisco made other small business technology news recently when it announced that it would be offering a webcast to promote solutions it was offering. The online video will give small business owners insight into how its Borderless Business Networks help.
