By using a webcam and social media, Gourmet Gifts is able to show clients exactly what they're purchasing.

Just because a small business doesn't have the budget of its big name competitors doesn't mean it can't embrace some of the most advanced technology, as evidenced by one small business owner in Silicon Valley.

Debbie Quintana, owner of gourmet basket company Gourmet Gifts has begun implementing some advanced technology into her small business to give customers a better idea of just what they're buying.

Through the use of a live video stream from a webcam, Quintana is able to show clients exactly what they're purchasing in a way that can't be seen through a still picture. To go one step further, Quintana also uses a variety of tools to keep in touch with clients - from Facebook and Twitter to Skype and Google Talk.

"Our customers want to know exactly what they're getting and we're proud to show them," says Quintana. "If they want to switch out a product, add additional items or simply want to see it before it ships, it just takes a few seconds to put it in our social media center for show."
