Overview
Our team saw the potential for blockchain technology to transform the way digital assets are created and utilized, bringing about a new era for digital communities and internet commerce. But, we also saw how blockchain's cost and complexity was getting in the way of businesses and entrepreneurs' ability to successfully apply blockchain in a business environment outside of temporary speculative mania. We set out to make blockchain more accessible, and ultimately came to the conclusion that what was needed was not actually better tools for blockchain, it was better tools for digital assets. We started building games like Duro Dogs, Ruff Runner, BSV2048, and others to figure out the best ways to help others create interoperable digital assets and use them in applications. This ultimately led to the creation of the Asset Layer platform, the first Digital-Asset-as-a-Service solution.
