HT Materials Science ("HTMS") was founded in 2018 to develop a heat transfer fluid for commercial and industrial HVAC markets. The founders of HTMS come from the engineering, scientific and finance sectors, and have decades of experience in the development and commercialization of nanoparticle based products. In 2019 HTMS introduced its first heat transfer fluid, Maxwell®, named after James Clerk Maxwell, the pioneering scientist who first developed the concept of nanofluids in the 19th century. In 2020 HTMS received patent approvals from the USPTO for the formulation and manufacturing of Maxwell®. The development of our second-generation heat transfer fluid continues with our research and development partners at Science Foundation Ireland and AMBER (Advanced Materials and Bio-Engineering Research), Trinity College Dublin.
