Applied Micro Circuits Corp. (AMCC) (Nasdaq: AMCC) today announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Quake Technologies, Inc. Under the terms of the agreement, AMCC will acquire all outstanding shares of Quake for approximately $69 million in cash (net of the estimated cash and receivables that AMCC expects to assume in the deal). The transaction is subject to certain customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals, and is expected to close at the end of August 2006.
