Newlab launched in 2016--our flagship location in the Brooklyn Navy Yard dates back to 1902 and served as the primary machine shop for every major ship launched during World Wars I and II. Inspired by its rich history, we envisioned a way to return the building to relevance by championing entrepreneurship, innovation, and frontier technologies that transform infrastructure and build a more resilient, sustainable world.
