Gary Magness is the Chairman of the Magness Investment Group LLC headquartered in Denver, Colorado. The Magness Investment Group is a private holding company that manages Gary's diverse investment portfolio and oversees numerous operating businesses. Gary Magness was born in Texas, the second son of Bob and Betsy Magness who were cattle ranchers at the time. But in 1956 they sold their cattle and started their first cable system. Bob climbed poles to string the wires and Betsy ran the operation out of their kitchen.
