This state-chartered, non-profit organization was created in 1985 as the Center For Innovative Technology (CIT) and was rebranded to Virginia Innovation Partnership Corp (VIPC) in November 2021. VIPC was established to generate technology-based economic development strategies in Virginia. Today, VIPC is focused primarily on plugging gaps at the earliest stages of the innovation continuum -- commercialization and seed funding -- as it continues to assist entrepreneurs throughout the Commonwealth launch and grow high-growth technology companies and create high-paying jobs for the future.
