Forefront Capital is an angel investment fund that was founded on one simple belief: The world is better off when founders from diverse backgrounds are given the opportunity to build and scale innovative companies that solve big problems. We are an early 'yes' for these founders. We know that expanding opportunity and access is a winning strategy. Companies with a female founder have performed 63% better than companies with an all-male founder team, yet only 2% of venture funding went to women founders in 2020 (Sources: First Round Capital, HBR). Further, ethnically diverse founder teams have outperformed all-white founder teams by 30%, but less than 1% of venture dollars were allocated to Black founders in 2020 (Sources: Kauffman Fellows and Crunchbase). With that knowledge, we are on a mission to shape tomorrow by investing in the historically underestimated. Where others have bias, we see opportunity.
