Keeps Biomed Co., Ltd. was established on May 29, 2012 and is a company dedicated to developing biopharmaceuticals for the treatment of diseases to promote healthy and happy lives for all. Our first research and development project is the development of a technology to treat diabetes using therapeutic genes. Successful experiments on large animals (monkeys) have confirmed its commercial viability. We believe this innovative technology can treat diabetes for up to a week with a single oral dose. Our second research and development initiative is the development of oral protein/peptide therapeutics. Using our proprietary drug delivery technology, we aim to develop targeted oral formulations with high bioavailability for peptide therapeutics that are degraded by gastric acid and not absorbed in the small intestine. Drugs being studied include insulin, GLP-1 peptide analogs, and PTH (an osteoporosis treatment). Current results have demonstrated a bioavailability of 10% (in laboratory mice),
