Overview

Initial investments are typically between $150,000 and $350,000 per company. The Board's expectation is to realize a return on its investment within 5 to 7 years. Typical successful applicants will be companies with a distinct competitive advantage in a strong marketplace. The Fund will seek adequate risk adjusted returns on investment. Purchase of the Company's preferred stock is the typical form of investment, but the Board will also consider convertible debt. For companies which are structured as LLC's, the SEGB's share of losses may be allocated to other Members in the Operating Agreement.
