As of January 1, 2021, minimum wage in Florida is $8.56.

Florida is one of 45 states that have enacted minimum wage laws. The minimum wage in Florida is just $1.31 more than the current Federal minimum wage rate of $7.25.

However, Florida's minimum wage is on track to rise materially in the future. On November 3, 2020, more than 60 percent of Floridian voters approved legislation to increase the minimum wage in Florida to $15.00 by 2026, with the next increase coming in September 2021, at which point the Florida minimum wage will increase to $10.00 per hour.
