Overview
We are Kate and Anne - sisters, best friends, moms and the cofounders of Sage Haven. This is very near-and-dear to our hearts. We are dedicating this effort to a family member who went through a mental health crisis largely due to online bullying. Kid group chats often begin in elementary school or early middle school on watches, tablets and phones. In these group chats, kids are frequently exposed to online bullying, inappropriate content and are getting addicted to checking their devices constantly. We also understand that parents have good reasons to allow their kids to message online including family logistics, enabling their kid to be able to message/call in case of an emergency, or connecting with close friends and family oftentimes to facilitate IRL events. We created Sage Haven so kids can message with close friends and family in a safer way.
