Face of Opportunity contest will give away 250 free flights to London

With more business being done overseas, many small business owners are looking for ways to travel and expand their company's presence on a global scale. Now, thanks to one of the most well known airlines, 250 entrepreneurs will soon get the chance to fly to London to gain business.

British Airways announced its Face of Opportunity contest, which seeks to help small business owners with the need to take their business overseas and meet with new investors or clients across the ocean. In order to be selected for the offer, entrepreneurs will submit a video or essay with a short pitch on why they deserve to get the free flight.

Not only will the winners get a free trip, but they will also get the chance to attend the British Airways Face of Opportunity event in New York City. At the event, they will be able to receive advice from small business experts and also get the opportunity to do some networking with others in their industry.

"For the second year, British Airways is proud to be supporting U.S. entrepreneurs and small businesses through our Face-to-Face program," said Simon Talling-Smith, executive vice president, Americas for British Airways.

While British Airways has been making news for small business, they have been struggling with the prospect of a worker strike. With layoffs on the horizon, London Net reports that the union at BA voted to go on strike in the coming days.
