Industrial Paint Markers

Looking for industrial paint markers? A good paint marker can handle the toughest application jobs in the business and here are some of the best industrial paint markers around.

Industrial and commercial businesses sometimes require permanent markers capable of handling the toughest applications and work environments.

When light duty office markers aren't an option and regular industrial markers aren't enough, it's time to step up your game and reach for an industrial paint marker.

Industrial paint markers are commercial-duty, permanent markers that create highly visible markings on almost any application surface. Stone, plastic, metal, paper - whatever you need to mark, there's a paint marker that is up to the task.

But as you might suspect, the marking power of these products comes at a cost that isn't necessarily financial. To achieve reliable coverage, manufacturers have to use inks and chemicals that can have negative health consequences. There are also multiple kinds of paint markers available on the market, so buyers need to do their research before they make a purchase.

Paint Marker Overview

Paint markers are different than other types of permanent markers because the ink is oil-based paint. The benefit is that the ink resists fading and can be applied over other colors and even dark backgrounds. Like any oil paint, it can be removed with paint thinner or other solvents. The danger of paint markers is that they contain volatile, organic compounds like xylene or toluene that can be harmful when inhaled.

In addition to typical paint markers, suppliers sells solid paint markers that feature semi-hard oil paint that is similar to chalk. Environments and applications that are compromised by water or oil are good candidates for solid paint marker products.
